ADA COUNTY COURTHOUSE
Engineering Incorporated is proud to be affiliated with the first LEED certified and Energy Star Courthouse project in Idaho, the Ada County Courthouse. It received a Silver rating during the 2003 existing building pilot program and has since been recertified every year with an Energy Star rating. The courthouse is a 356,000 square foot building with cooling requirements met by an 800-ton chilled water plant. The needs of the heating system are met by Boise's natural geothermal water infrastructure. The VAV air system is supplied by the northwest largest (at that time) packaged penthouse rooftop unit at 300,000 cfm. Building uses Allerton DDC system for control. Project was originally designed and built in 1998 and easily met LEED certification requirements.
